This is my first block for the Simply Solids – a modern {bee} Flickr group, our first Queen bee selected the “converging corners block” using this tutorial. A nice simple block to ease everyone into the groove of things. One block a month is easily attainable even if you’re working full time or have children or both if you have a great partner!
I love fuchsia and orange together so that was a no brainer and used navy in the opposite corner. To tone it down a bit, I used Kona Ash in the orange corner and a taupe in the navy corner, it think it works well. I hope our Queen likes it, can’t wait to see her finished quilt!
Have you ever participated in an online bee?

No not yet I am doing BOM this year!
I noticed that BOM on your blog. I’d love to do an all curves BOM, that’s where my weakness lies.
As queen bee, I’ll say I love it
YAY! I’m so glad you like it, I’ll try to get it in the mail to you this week.
Wow, you go girl! Great colour choices, Tabatha!
Thanks M-R! I figured I’d strike while the iron is hot and just get it done!
