A-Tasket, another yellow basket, and by far, this is my favorite!
The interior and exterior are both quilted and added a split interior pocket.
The exterior fabric is by Riley Blake, “Daisy Cottage” Damask in Daisy and the interior is from Lori Holt’s line, “Millie’s Closet”, Herringbone Coat in Yellow. The basket measures 11″ long x 6″ wide x 8.5″ tall.
I think I’m going to play with Deb Strain’s Spa and Daisy Cottage…
… or maybe Joel Dewberry’s Woodgrain in Vintage Yellow.
According to colour psychology:
“The color yellow relates to acquired knowledge. It is the color which resonates with the left or logic side of the brain stimulating our mental faculties and creating mental agility and perception.
Being the lightest hue of the spectrum, the color psychology of yellow is uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun.
In the meaning of colors, yellow inspires original thought and inquisitiveness.”
What colours are tickling your fancy lately?

Great bag – would definitely work in many ways, yellow is definitely uplifting. I love that blue Moda spa fabric. I am still in a grey and orange mode at the moment. Also loving the notting hill joel dewberry colors
Thanks mlwilkie, I love these baskets, I suppose that’s why I’m currently addicted to making them at the moment. My sewing studio is in the basement but I like to bring my hand sewing upstairs to finish in the living room and so made a basket for this purpose. I can see these useful in so many ways!
I love Joel Dewberry’s Notting Hill too, bought a half yard of each print in magenta. <3
I’ve loved seeing all your bags lately. Have you seen Ikat Bag’s blog – she’s been posting different tutorials on how to make all kinds of bags.

You need to make a basket ASAP! It’s a fun, easy, useful and relatively quick project which will make you happy!
Great basket Tabatha! Not sure what it says about me, but I pulled out my Kaffe Fassett fabrics of very bright and unusual combination of colours!
I love Kaffe Fassett, I have many of his knitting books from the 80′s yet haven’t pulled the trigger on adding his gorgeous fabrics to my stash but it’s on my list!
Love the delicate bag! I also love the colours that you have chosen for you next bag! Colour psychology! Yep, yellow is uplifting!
