While I was watching the Food Network yesterday, I noticed this eye catching pattern on a conveyor belt so I sketched it out on paper then figured out how to break up the block to tile and reproduced it in Photoshop. It kinda looks like little houses.
By complete fluke, I copied the design and while tiling, came up with a lot of different variations but I’ll show you those tomorrow. Here are a few colour options I thought would be cute:
Here’s the basic block pattern. If you use this to create a block or quilt, please credit me and linking back to this post would be awesome! I also started a Bending Pins Flickr group here.
The finished block size would be 12″ x 8″. This is an original quilt pattern designed by me. If you choose to make it and share on social media, a credit would be greatly appreciated. Sale of this quilt pattern without permission is prohibited by copyright law.

V cool. Love the one with the wee green triangles. V v nice. Hmmmmm. The trouble with reading other blogs is that you end up with a HUUUUUGE quilt must make list in your head
LOL! Kathleen, I don’t even know where to start! Which pattern do I make? And lets not even get started with colour choices! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love it! I especially like the second one….the rainbow-looking one.
Thank you Candy!
this is so great! I like them ALL!
Thanks Adrienne! I just subscribed to your blog, you quilts and colour choices are gorgeous!
How gorgeous! What a fun pattern — I like the last one best, with the green background “grass”!
Thank you Michelle! It was fun and exciting discovering the many different patterns in one motif!
Ooh, I love it!
Thanks M-R, now to sew it up!
This is a fabulous pattern, I’ve got to make some hand printed fabrics for a swap in the next week or so, and this would make a great print too.

Go for it Ange, let me know if you do decide to use this pattern, I’d love to see your results!
That is really cool!
Thanks P.!
Looks very interesting
Thanks for stopping by Marjorie!
Way to go Tabatha! It’s a great pattern!
Thanks Patti! I was really excited about it. I know most designers keep everything to themselves until they can make a quilt and sell it as a pattern but I just couldn’t wait, I’m terrible at keeping secrets! ;D xoxo
Oh I love this!!! I don’t know where I will find the time to make it. Watching a 7 month old takes up a lot of time.
Congratulations on your baby Pamela! I know when I had my son, sleeping myself at nap time was priority #1! Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment!
I love it, very cool looking.
Thanks Carmie! I just have to get my scattered thoughts and ideas together, settle down and make it! ;D
This is such a great pattern! I like the way you colored the options too. Thanks!
