Now that I have my new Janome CoverPro 1000CPX, I’m considering selling my old Huskylock 905 and getting a new serger. My local Husqvarna dealer told me the 905 was a great machine and if it were theirs, wouldn’t trade it for a new (Husqvarna) serger. So I turned to the ever helpful folks on Pattern Review.

I looked at the Bernina 700D, their entry level serger, the Janome 1100D which is really out of my price range but if I had unlimited $$, I think this is the machine I would get, the Elna 654 (not sure of the price) and the Juki MO-654DE which is in my price range but I’m not fond of the dials or Juki MO-734DE which will take a little while to save up for.

If anyone has any of these models, please weigh in on your experience, including the Huskylock 905.
