Butterick 4929 Almost Finished!

Despite a nasty nasal cold wiping me out, I managed to finish the lining on my Butterick 4929 jacket and sew it in on Sunday. I’m home sick today and after a much needed nap, started experimenting with monograms which I could hide inside the jacket for myself.

Below is the collar embroidery I mentioned on Saturday, I really like how it turned out, it unintentionally matches the lining.

The fabric is a very soft, fine corduroy I purchased on sale for $6 per meter and the lining is Bemberg. I placed the monogram, another purchase from Embroidery Library, on the bottom inside facing.

I have yet to hem this jacket, I’ve pressed the hem up and will sit on the sofa and tack it down by hand.
