Welcome to our Home

Once upon a time, I was addicted to MLS.ca, I was determined to find TDF and I a nest. One early morning, I found a mid-70’s house which really appealed to my aesthetics. I waited till 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning before waking dh and letting him know I’d found the house of our dreams. He didn’t believe me until I showed him the photos. This is our cottage in the suburbs, it was finished in the 70’s by the owner/architect, who tore down the original war home and erected this gorgeous piece of art. We celebrated our fifth year last October.

Coffee Table

My father made this coffee table for us from a photo I sent him. The art glass on top was purchased on ebay.

The basement is without pillars or walls, the floor is ceramic tile.

This German made clock came with the house.

Our first winter we put up a bird feeder and attracted a plethora of birds including these gluttonous beauties.

  1. Thank you Dan & P., we were very lucky to have found this house, it had been on the market for two months and we purchased it for a price we could afford, which wasn’t much. This was the reason why we moved to the suburbs and commute two hours to and from work every day. Worth every second and every penny!
