Picture Wall: progress report 2

Picture Wall Progress Photo 2

I think some had a problem envisioning what this quilt would look like, I hope I have enough here to give you a good idea. You can also see why I chose plum colours to offset the feature fabrics and how they really pop.

I’m really enjoying putting this quilt together and so far, it’s my favorite. So much so, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and cut into my treasured Tula Pink out of print fabric, Plume!

I’m not quite sure how big I’m going to grow this pattern, I’m going to keep going until I run out of fabric. 😀

  1. Looks wonderful. Plume is a great fabric to fussy cut. I made my youngest Daughter a quilt out of it when she got married.

  2. Your quilt is emerging as quite a lovely piece of art! I agree you should make it as big as u can. Are you going to turn the directions into a quilt pattern, I think many people would buy them…..

  3. Oh my! What a great idea to fussy cut the Plume fabric! Looks awesome! I think cutting into your coveted fave Tula Pink fabric is going to pay-off! This is goin to be bee-u-tee-ful! Can’t wait to see the finished product. PS.: I think Tula will forgive you! Mwaaaah!

  4. This is such an interesting quilt! Very cool. I don’t understand how the feature fabric is inserted and stays inside the frame. Can you explain?
