progress hold until the Grace Start-Right quilt frame and Juki TL-2000Qi arrive:

My actual WIP is the Star Blossoms quilt, I’m almost finished cutting the thousand little pieces that go into it. Maybe I’ll even get to do a little sewing today between bathing the pugs!
I received my copy of Simply Fat Quarters yesterday and there’s a few patterns in there I’d love to make including Carousel, pictured on the cover and Poppy.
I also subscribed to the Fons & Porter magazine, “Love of Quilting” on my iPad so I don’t have to wait for the postal service to delivery my copy 3 weeks after everyone else has it.
Since I still have time, I thought I’d start another, more intricate quilt. Sometimes sewing squares gets a bit boring. Enter “Star Blossoms” by Bonnie Olaveson of the fabulous Bonnie & Camille team. However, I’ll be using Flora fabric by Lauren + Jessi Jung. Gee, lots of Mother and daughter teams!
This is going to be another one of those quilts that takes a few days just to cut the fabric, so many little pieces not quite as many as my beloved Parcheesie quilt!
Still no news on my Grace Start-Right queen quilt frame and Juki TL-2000Qi, I’ll continue to keep you posted.
Other than that, nothing else is new. What are you working on?
I am loving this quilt, I purchased the pattern from Green Fairy Quilts and used Denyse Schmidt’s Chicopee and Robert Kaufman Essex linen in natural. I have two more rows to add and a border.
I’ve been watching Angela Walters videos all day, dreaming of when I get my short arm Grace Start-Right quilt frame and Juki TL-2000Qi!
Can’t believe it’s Wednesday already!
Linking up with WIP Wednesdays at Freshly Pieced and The Needle and Thread Network.
That’s right, I pulled the trigger today (with DH’s blessing as birthday/Xmas gift) for the Grace Start-Right queen size quilt frame, Juki TL-2000Qi and stitch regulator. KathyQuilts.com bundled it up with a ton of goodies including bobbins, spare needles, goose neck lamp, laser pointer, e-book and a slew of video tutorials. Lynn and Kathy are dedicated to making your quilt experience with the Grace frame as positive as possible and provide amazing support and service. Thank you Lynn & Kathy!!
Kathy Quilts also has a YouTube channel with a number of videos on the Grace Start-Right quilt frame. This is an excellent bargin for those who want to quilt on a frame but can’t afford a longarm set-up. Linda Teddlie Minton wrote a nice review of the set-up on her blog, read it here. There is also a Yahoo group for Grace quilt frames here.
